Working with local businesses & employers, our W.A.V.E.S. program offers specialized vocational skill training to individuals with Developmental Disablilities helping them to become contributing members within the community.
Our staff is comprised of fully trained professionals as Vocational Evaluator and Community Placement Specialists and are available to meet for an initial interview and assessment anytime, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm

The W.A.V.E.S Program is a benefit to local business. Our goal is to provide you with sklled, dedicated employees that are eager to learn. The key to Supported Employment is available competitive work. We ask employers from the local business community to:

• Hire our clients to fill a wide variety of positions
• Support our clients in these positions as they would support
any employee
• Compensate our clients in these positions as they compensate
any employee, with salary and benefits in accordance with
current Department of Labor Standards.
• Allow our Placement Specialists access to the job site to ensure that our
clients are properly trained
• Communicate any questions, concerns or problems, as soon
as they arise to the Placement Specialists

COMPREHENSIVE JOB PLACEMENT PROGRAM:

• Assess people’s skills and needs
• Locate available job opportunities
• Analyze all job duties
• Match the best person to the job
• Train the new employee in every aspect
of the new job and the job site
• Fade the Job Coach from the job site as
the employee achieves independence
|

• Schedule works hours and time off with
the employer and provide transportation
as needed
• Evaluate job performance on a regular
basis, in person and through written
performance evaluations
• Support the employee and the employer
as necessary
