In 1977, the ALMC decided to expand the array of services it offers and began to provide Home-Based Therapeutic Services. Known as HBTS, this service is available to children and young adults, through age 21, with autism, developmental disabilities, or mental health needs. To be referred for this program a child must meet eligibility requirements as determined by the Department of Human Services.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the ALMC Child and Family Services Program is to enhance the quality of life for each child who receives services. Working collaboratively with the parents, an individualized treatment plan is developed. The identified goals, reflecting the needs and strengths of the child, are designed to maximize the child's ability to interact and be successful at home, school, and in the community. Treatment is provided by the behavior specialist, in conjunction with the parents, in naturally occurring settings using developmentally appropriate and age typical activities.
HBTS SERVICES
HBTS succeeds in its mission by maintaining the highest possible expectations for each child, as well as for the staff who support them.
